MA EV Tax Credit: Individual Post-Purchase Rebate

As part of the Massachusetts EV tax credit program, East Boston-area drivers will be able to benefit from the individual post-purchase rebate as long as they meet the requirements of the program. To see if you qualify and what benefits you can experience, take a look at the bulleted list below:

  • You must be a Massachusetts resident.
  • You must purchase or lease a new vehicle that’s eligible and has a starting price of less than $50,000.
  • Submit your online application and any additional documentation within three months of your purchase or lease.
  • You can receive $2,500 for a new battery or fuel-cell electric vehicle.
  • You can receive $1,500 for a new plug-in hybrid electric vehicle.
  • Your vehicle must be registered and retained in Massachusetts for at least three years.

MA EV Tax Credit: Fleet Post-Purchase Rebate

If you’re looking to start or expand your business and need one or more fleet vehicles for your business needs, then you’ll be able to experience additional benefits through the Massachusetts EV tax credit program. Check out the fleet post-purchase rebate qualifications and benefits below:

  • You must operate a business or non-profit organization in Massachusetts.
  • You must purchase or lease a new vehicle that’s eligible and has a starting price of less than $50,000.
  • You must have leased or purchased a vehicle after June 25th, 2020.
  • You can submit an online application for up to 10 vehicles at a single time.
  • You can receive $2,500 for a new battery or fuel-cell electric vehicle.
  • You can receive $1,500 for a new plug-in hybrid electric vehicle.
  • You’ll be eligible for up to 10 rebates per year and up to 20 over the lifetime of the electric vehicle tax credit program.
